Who is Allah? We saw that Allah’s promises of endless sensual enjoyment in Paradise proved to be a biblical lie. As the God of the Bible declares that He does not lie, that does not sound like the God of the Bible, does it?

We have seen that Allah takes away the enjoyments of this life—everything in this life is best sacrificed by his slaves as part of their service to Allah—and instead promises pleasures in eternity, promises that have no biblical basis. What does that mean?

Consider the following:

John 8:34–36 (NAU) “Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”

John 10:10 (NAU): “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

John 15:15 (NAU): “No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.”

What have we seen in Allah? In this series we have discovered that every follower of Allah is his slave, nothing more. Indeed, Islam literally means submission, something a slave must do to his master. Even Muhammad and the Islamic Jesus, are nothing more than Allah’s slaves (biblically, we are either slaves to sin or slaves to righteousness). A slave, as described by Islam, is not free.

In line with John 15:15, we saw that Muhammad had no clue about his eternal destiny. As the slave of Allah, he did not know, and biblically could not know, what his master was doing. In addition, as we saw, Allah takes away and prohibits what God lawfully allows to be enjoyed on this earth. As such, we are not talking sinful things.

How does Jesus describe a thief? The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. One of the recurring themes found in the Muslim chroniclers’ records during the Muslim wars of expansion is how they loved death more than their opponents loved life. They did not care if they lived or died, given the promises Allah made about Paradise, while their opponents foolishly, and contrary to Allah’s command, preferred life on this earth. Thus, the Muslims fought harder and were most often victorious.

Historically, sometimes their foes capitulated outright to avoid the slaughter and plundering that would have otherwise followed. Although outside the scope of this series, the history of pillage, plunder, slavery, and slaughter that took place during the time of the Islamic conquests truly is frightening. It was no accident that earlier Muhammad had said that he was made victorious through terror, terror through atrocities that we see continuing down to the present time as shown by the actions of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other similar Islamic groups.

But Muslims don’t just kill infidels, they kill other Muslims. The frequent bloodletting between the Sunni and the Shia is well known. But even within the same sect one is not safe. The radical Muslim Brotherhood is on record declaring that if a Muslim, after having been warned, continues to fail to perform the required five daily ritual prayers, that Muslim should be killed. Talk about inducing fear!

In contrast, Jesus came to free us from slavery to sin, to give us His true, abundant life, to free us from the law of sin and death. Jesus gives us life, Islam embraces death.

So, who is Allah?
