The political responses to Charlie Kirk’s murder. As we saw in the previous post, those on the extreme Left have been posting egregious lies. One more example: Michael Mann, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania called Charlie Kirk the head of the Trump Hitler youth. Such comments are beyond irresponsible, but sadly, not unexpected. The administration backed him.

But in reacting to those on the Left who have taken delight in Kirk’s murder, some on the political Right have been responding in kind. Just as many on the political Left paint everyone on the political the same way, so some on the political Right also do to those on the political Left.

I’ve seen numerous posts by one conservative lawmaker in particular, who has stated that he has come to the realization that this really is war. He stated that those on the Left want those on the political Right dead, as demonstrated in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He maintains that in the end, only one side will survive. In other words, he in turn, wants those on the political Left dead. He is not alone.

Have you seen some of the memes from the political Right? The pictures are often those of a particular Hollywood actor espousing basic conservative beliefs and positions. The fact that the actor in question is actually a liberal and does not hold those positions is besides the point.

One can surmise that as AI techniques advance, recognizing lies as lies will become increasingly difficult. It will become easier and easier to make someone appear to say stuff that person doesn’t believe, even using their own voice, or a synthesized one that sounds almost identical (think of the fly-by-night companies that have been using fake versions of Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr. to sell their “health” wares).

In short, there are those on the political Right who are using the same tactics as are commonly used by those on the political Left. Of course, since it is being done by the political Right, it is therefore justified, unlike those on the other side who are doing it. Anything can and will be justified “for the cause” by both sides. Biblically speaking, there is no difference, a lie is a lie. Biblically speaking, the ends do not justify the means.

Don’t think, don’t reason. Follow the herd: whether it is the political Left or political Right, follow the herd. To dare to even raise a question is an act of betrayal. If you even raise a question, you’ve now become one of “them,” and deserve their miserable fate.

On the other hand, consider Isaiah 1:18 (NAU): “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.”

Yes, much of what the political Left advocates God does call sin. But the idea that the political Right is sinless is also a biblical lie. As already stated, American cultural Christianity is not the same as biblical Christianity.

As we will see in the next post, there are crucial aspects of biblical truth that neither political side wants to admit.
