In the previous post, we examined why evolutionists will never admit the possibility of Intelligent Design, that anything that even hints at the existence of a literal God must be, and will be, rejected.

It is interesting to me that the acceptance of Darwin’s theory was delayed by a generation. The mathematicians of Darwin’s day demonstrated that Darwin’s chance theory was impossible. That generation of mathematicians had to die off before the way was cleared for his theory to be generally accepted. Jesus tells us that we naturally love darkness rather than light because our deeds are evil, so it is no shock that most would prefer to believe a theory that claims to prove that God does not exist (one thinks of Nietzsche’s famous saying that God is dead, that we have killed Him, and that the deed is too marvelous for us).

But can Evolution be brought about by chance, even a period of chance that takes place over billions of years?

Which do you think is easier to be reached by chance: a fully functional human eye (or brain), or Genesis 1:1? Genesis 1:1 (NAU): “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” One would logically think that randomly getting a simple sentence would be far easier than a fully functioning human brain or eye.

Can one arrive at Genesis 1:1 by chance? We’ll take a look at the mathematical odds in the next post.
